I visited this location because I previously had great experiences at their Toronto and Niagara Falls branches. However, the staff member here refused to even look at my passport, claiming they don't accept foreign IDs due to "store policy." This contradicts Canadian law, which recognizes international passports as valid identification, and my experience just days ago in Niagara Falls where it was accepted without issue. Unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. If you are a tourist or foreigner, avoid this place; they will waste your time and refuse service.
Im almost 50. Unmistakable. Why am I forced to remove my license from my wallet? I've reviewed close to 50 stores across Ontario. Never had to do that. Not once.
You're not cops. Im very clearly not underage. Look at the license in the wallet and move on. Looking at the reviews now I understand the frustration with the overzealous staff. You need to see the ID that's fine - but taking it out like you're cops inspecting something is crazy.
Always a positive experience when I pop in to this store! Everyone who I've encountered at this location is always a pleasure to talk to! Very knowledgeable and friendly folks!
One Customer service person is very bad, they hire good ppl but this one girl with orange pixie cut today and a nose ring was super confrontational and to be frank ruined my day. I'm a frequent customer and I really dread going there again now. Sucks!
I've been a regular customer here and even paid for the $70 yearly membership, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. Out of nowhere, I was told they can't serve me because I have a passport from another country. There was no clear communication about this policy beforehand, and it feels unfair and poorly handled.
For a business that promotes customer loyalty through memberships, this kind of inconsistency is frustrating. If there are ID restrictions, they should be clearly explained upfront before taking people's money.
I won't be going back again there are plenty of other shops nearby that treat customers better. Honestly, what kind of business turns away a paying, loyal customer like this? Do they not want customers?
Definitely not recommending this place based on how this situation was handled.
