You're Always Welcome At Canna Cabana!
Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

First time I have been treated rudely since I have been shopping at this location. Came in, a lady and staff member were dealing with her order. Was not acknowledged, at all, no hello, or I'll be with you as soon as I can. There were people in the back, I waited patiently, usually 2 people on staff, I get that it was shipment day, made my choices mentally, waited and waited. I understand that some customers need more guidance and or time. Nothing. I was not in a hurry, at all, there is a limit. After a bit again, I politely apologized for interrupting, and asked if there was someone who could help me, and that I would be fast. Well, the young man helping the customer, gave me a deadpan face, almost an eye roll, and went to get someone from the back. The customer who was out front made a condescending "sorry" (a senior-am no young buck myself) and did roll her eyes. The young gentleman who helped me is always very pleasant, I again apologized, this time for interrupting his work in the back. Not a problem, great service from him as per usual.
Not the pleasant experience I usually have. An acknowledgment would have made a difference, rather than being completely ignored. Bad day for him? Maybe. I would be getting pulled into the office if I treated customers that way where I work. Will check out the Leva Ave. location, or switch to Value Buds. 🫤
I've been going to Canna Cabana for years and they've never disappointed me. Competitive prices and quality products. Skye has been the all-star employee in my opinion; she always greets customers with a big smile and definitely knows her cannabis. I recommend this store if you're in Red Deer!
Let me tell you how much i love this store; i'm about to move to a new house and the first thing i did was google maps how close I now was to canna cabana (6 minutes btw don't get sick of me).
But seriously, 10/10 store. Always helpful, always kind, always have the cutest food themed earrings.

I am not impressed with the customer service. I was there today and bought 7g of dried cannabis and the harvest date was January 09 2025. The weed was very dry and had a bad taste. I called the store and they told me to contact the grower. There was nothing they could do. Otherwise they staff is great! And i have no complaints about any other products I have purchased from there.
I had an amazing experience with Tyra! I came in looking for pain management options, and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She has such a bubbly personality that made the whole visit enjoyable. She showed me a few options that wasn't overwhelming and took the time to explain exactly how each product would help. I'm really impressed and will definitely be back!
