Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I want to take a moment to recognize an extraordinary manager Niha who worked at this store location few weeks back. During a very difficult and critical moment for me, she went far beyond what anyone would normally expect from someone in her position. She made sure I was safe, called a cab for me, and even gave me a bottle of water from her own vehicle while ensuring I was taken care of before leaving the store.
What touched me the most was her genuine humanity and kindness. She treated people not just as customers, but as human beings who mattered. Her actions reflected the true values any company would hope their leaders represent.
I recently learned that she is no longer with the company due to the issues with the management, and honestly, it broke my heart. I More than 20 people I personally know chose to bring their business to this store specifically because of her leadership, professionalism, and the welcoming environment she has created.Managers like her don't just run a store they build trust, loyalty, and community around a brand. She maintained the company's image with integrity, compassion, and dedication every single day, it is truly sad to see that someone who represented your company brand with such humanity and excellence is no longer part of the organization. This Cannabis store is fortunate to have such a hardworking and dedicated employees. All 4 people I met today were very knowledgeable, professional and genuinely cares about the customer satisfaction. It is clear the staff takes pride in their work. Shoutout to the people who were working around 4 pm today.
Used to be a good store but suddenly theres constantly a butt load of new staff who never have any idea of whats going on in the store. Also now after 6pm you have to ring a doorbell and show your ID to the camera to enter? Which is very inconvenient especially with the -35°C weather we have been having and they check your ID inside the store anyway?
