When it first opened and it was the new kid on the block it drew me in with the bright aesthetic, the white car parked inside on display and the friendly staff. As time went on I began to notice the lack of products always available, the prices being higher than most any other dispensary, and the staff all just seem like they hate being at work.
I've been shopping here for quite a while, and honestly, the biggest reason I keep coming back is because of the staff. The employees are always friendly, helpful, and make the experience enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the manager. Every time I've interacted with him, he comes across as dismissive, irritated, and like he doesn't want to be there. Asking a question or needing help often feels like you're bothering him.
I've also witnessed him speaking harshly and raising his voice toward customers, which is uncomfortable to watch and not what I would expect from someone in a management position.
It's disappointing because the rest of the team works hard and provides great customer service. If it weren't for them, I honestly would have stopped shopping here by now. One person's attitude can really change the atmosphere of a store, and in this case, it makes what should be a simple shopping trip feel unnecessarily unpleasant.
Cool dispensary, very efficient menu and ordering system, Herbside pickup is a cool feature. Psychedelic interior, yet very clean aesthetic. Kind staff. Good hours. Great to see this kind of effort put into a chain cannabis store. Kudos to the employees and purveyors of this fine establishment.
I'm almost at the point of not going back. One staff member there makes me so uncomfortable. I cringe every time I walk in and they are working. They make me feel so uncomfortable like I am inconveniencing them for being a customer and they can't wait for me to pick the product and leave. They are unfriendly and miserable every time I go in. It's not a problem with the other employees. It's too bad this person doesn't seem to like their job and ruins the atmosphere of the entire store.
The 2 stars is because you are close. Your prices are way out of line in terms of local shops consistently. Pointing this out to staff was met with one of the snottiest attitudes I have encountered. I wonder why your N.Saanich store is empty every time I have visited? My preference is Buds, hands down. Their staff if way friendlier and the prices are reasonable.
