I have been a regular customer at other AR locations, spending roughly $240 a month. I recently visited the Kingsway location, and during my visit, the front-counter clerk aggressively snatched merchandise directly out of my hands before payment, while I was extending my hand to pay with my card. This made me feel like I was being treated like a criminal, and I found the interaction completely unacceptable and hostile.
After the incident, I was deeply angered and handled the situation immaturely. I called the store several times and said mean things to the clerk. I recognize that my behavior was immature and unprofessional, and there is no excuse for the actions that led to me being banned and trespassed from this location.
That said, I still believe the original interaction was unnecessary and could have been handled much better. My only intent when walking into the store was to have a simple, frictionless transaction and go on with my day. Instead, the situation escalated because of what felt like unnecessary suspicion and poor customer service from the front counter.
I also want to say that I have been to this location before and have been served by great staff. That is part of why this experience felt so unusual and disappointing.
I wanted to share this with ownership because it is unfortunate to see a solid, recurring customer relationship derailed by a front-counter employee creating unnecessary friction during what should have been a straightforward trans ..
Alfred was amazing. He was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this store to friends based on this great experience!
What a great store. Friendly staff and good tunes. Alfred helped me pick out some edibles to help with pain and sleep.
