I recently visited One Plant in North Oshawa. The staff member who helped me — I believe the manager, short blonde hair with glasses — was friendly and welcoming at first. I asked about the current specials and was directed to a promotion where buying 14g gets you a free T-shirt.
I ended up purchasing two qualifying products, so naturally I expected two shirts with the order. However, after paying, I noticed I was only given one. When I asked about the second shirt, the response I got was, "If you want."
That rubbed me the wrong way. It felt strange that I had to specifically ask for part of a promotion I had already qualified for, especially since there was no mention beforehand that only one would be provided unless requested. It came across as a bit unprofessional and left me wondering whether customers are always receiving the promotions they're entitled to unless they speak up.
Overall, the interaction was polite, but the handling of the promotion felt questionable and put a sour note on the experience.
AJ's the best man. Very friendly and helpful. Been a customer for a long time and the boys really put that work in. Great atmosphere overall. ☮️
