| I've been a loyal customer of Bud Time at Wellington Street Plaza for nearly three years, and until today, every experience has been excellent. The young gentlemen who usually work there have always been friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and have consistently provided outstanding customer service. They are the reason my father and I have continued to choose this store over the many other cannabis retailers in Barrie. Unfortunately, today's experience completely changed my opinion. The female employee who served me was extremely rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a way that felt belittling and disrespectful. The interaction began because I mentioned that I was a few cents short and explained that, on previous occasions, the regular staff had kindly helped us out. Instead of simply saying that wasn't something she could do, her entire attitude immediately changed. She became visibly angry, spoke sharply to me, and was slamming the cabinet doors while serving me. I've worked in customer service, and I completely understand that employees have to follow store policies. If the answer was "no," I would have accepted that without issue. What made this experience unacceptable wasn't the policy—it was the way I was treated. By the end of the interaction, I genuinely felt uncomfortable enough that I wanted to leave.
