As a longtime frequent customer and Elite member, I was disappointed by my recent experience.
The inconsistency around ID checks is confusing. For months we were never asked, and now it's suddenly enforced. If it's truly a legal requirement, what changed? If this is truly a legal requirement, were those previous visits a violation of that same law?
What made it worse was the shift from warm, familiar greetings to a noticeably stern demeanor. Enforcing a policy and asking for IDs and being friendly aren't mutually exclusive. Customer service has plenty of room for improvement.
As for the Elite membership, it seems the benefits are limited to "discounts" rather than any real sense of being a valued customer. If anything, the prices are comparable to Fika by Union Station with better customer service and pet treats 🐶
edit. The generic responses are not appreciated. Never have I mentioned bringing someone without an ID either. Yet this question remains unanswered: If this is truly a legal requirement, were those previous visits a violation of that same law?
Loved the girl with the curly hair and lashes. Too bad I won't be back, I'll miss her 😔
