I'm a regular customer and On one visit, a staff member "joked" that every time I walk in, they know it's me cause I wear the same orange beanie and they are in the back dreading it and saying, "Oh, it's her again." These are the same people I interact with regularly, and show extreme warmth and kindess too out of basic respect so hearing that, joke or not, was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The vibe from certain staff (not all) has become forced, lazy, and strangely condescending.
I have supported Muse for a long time, partly because the store and I share the same public facing name, and I genuinely liked the brand. But lately, the energy feels off. Some employees compare themselves to customers, make snippy comments, or act irritated when asked basic questions. During an audit, I was suddenly asked for my email, something no one had ever mentioned before, and the attitude in front of their general manager told me everything I needed to know.
I will still shop here out of convenience, but at this point you are better off going to city Cannabis where they treat their customers with dignity and basic respect or the Cambie Muse location. If you are buying weed, just buy it. Do not expect warmth or professionalism from certain staff who seem to undermine customers rather than value them.
People come in to relax, decompress, and have a simple, positive experience. Being mocked or dismissed while doing that is a huge no. Vancouver customer service can be hit or miss ..
