I had a very disappointing experience at Pop Cannabis. I visited the store as a Level 3 member and made a light joke about the ID checks at the entrance. The employee responded by saying that because I mentioned it, she would now have to check my ID.
At first, I thought I didn't have my ID with me, but then I found it and showed my valid identification. Despite this, I was still refused service. What made the situation worse was the way I was treated afterward. I genuinely felt singled out and unfairly judged because of my ethnicity, she also asked me my name like first you are not serving me and then asking me my name . If she saw my id she would've known .
During the same interaction, another customer entered the store and was not asked to show ID. When I questioned this, I was told he was the employee's brother. If this is accurate, management should review the security footage and clarify whether store policies are being applied equally to everyone, including relatives of staff.
I completely respect ID verification rules and understand that employees must follow regulations. However, customers should still be treated respectfully, fairly, and without discrimination. This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, especially as a regular member of the store.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into the situation so no other customer feels this way in the future.
Again if I feel the same discrimination even when ..
