It seems there was a change in ownership, with new staff the chill & friendly vibe that was previously captured here no longer exists.
It's just not the same experience and while that can mean good things, it does not mean good things here.
The product selection used to be huge and great, now it is just very minimal.
The social media seems to be posting AI generated images instead of product images.
I used to shop here often for over 2 years, as convenient as it is, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Very disappointing compared to when this place first opened.
The new Staff are overly pushy and talk way too much when I'm just trying to make a quick purchase. The lack of product display makes it even worse customers should be able to see what they're buying instead of going through everything digitally.
Menu isn't even close to what it used to be either.
Overall, a big drop in quality. Spend your money elsewhere. Also… bring back the popcorn machine & good music.
The store has a beautiful aesthetic with a great selection of products. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was pleased with the recommendation offered to me.
So sad to hear Olive Jar is closing. This place will truly be missed. Shoutout to Brendan and Angela, and all the other staff who made every visit a great experience. Whether I was popping in quickly before catching the bus or just restocking my supply, it was always a pleasure coming here. Having a small, friendly business like this in the neighborhood really made a difference.
Wishing the team all the best in whatever comes next.
Edit May 2026: apparently they changed ownership and the old experience is gone. New staff don't know their product or even the brands they carry.
