I arrived with plenty of time to spare, fully expecting to walk in, make a straightforward purchase, and get on with my night. Instead, I was greeted by a deadbolt and absolute silence. The sole employee on duty had decided that peak retail hours were the ideal time to take a leisurely, uninterrupted dinner break.
Rather than staffing the floor like a legitimate, professionally run operation, this person simply locked the front door from the inside and slapped a crudely printed scrap of paper on the glass. The note—hastily taped up like a ransom note—announced to the growing crowd of bewildered patrons that the shop was arbitrarily closed until 20:45 because they were "closed for supper."; just like my old street dealer used to do.
For thirty solid minutes, paying customers were left standing outside in the cold while the lone worker sat inside feeding themselves, completely indifferent to the line forming right in front of the window. No apology, no sense of urgency, and not even the bare minimum awareness that locking paying patrons out so you can chow down mid-shift is an atrocious way to run a storefront. Every other dispensary in the city manages staggered shifts or basic coverage, but apparently Chrontact operates on the whimsical schedule of whoever happens to be holding th ..
I love that they have my favourite pre roll pack and it's so close to my house. Prices are okay. Some staff is knowledgeable, others don't have the best recs. Everyone is generally friendly. They're often out of my favourite drink :(
Great shop with ultra helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an amazing array of products too. Definitely worth the drive just past Carlingwood.
Budtenders are very knowledgeable and bring a level of expertise to the craft. They are helpful giving suggestions based on your personal preferences and previous purchases. Always service with a smile and assurance the customer is satisfied. Been coming here for years, I'd rate 10 stars if I could but 5 will have to do!
