Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I was singled out and asked to show ID before I even made it to the counter. It was clearly targeted since I'm almost old enough to have a grandchild who can shop there and I've never seen them card teenaged looking customers when I've been there in the past. I'm a soft spoken, well dressed middle aged professional so I can't imagine I struck anyone as a security threat but for some reason they just didn't want me there. I'd hate to think it was due to the fact that I was clocked as being gay but honestly I don't know what else about me antagonized the cashier so much that she needed me to leave immediately. I didn't argue with her but I won't be back.
Came in too look around for a 14 gram to take home and smoke up with and this absolutely lovely lady named Deseray (so sorry if i didn't spell it correctly) welcomed us and made the entire experience wonderful. She made the visit enjoyable and I will definitely be recommending canna cabana to others. The store felt inviting and you can get some pretty awesome prices if you join the membership which is literally free. Plus they have some good quality grinders and bong/smoking accessories.

I walked in about 6–7 minutes before closing time (yes, I was that customer 😅), and the team was already working on their closing duties. Instead of looking annoyed, they were super welcoming, friendly, and professional. They checked my ID, helped me out, and made the whole experience pleasant. Big respect to whoever was working that night—great service right until the very last minutes of the day! 👏
This is a great store! Clean and easy to see all products. I was disappointed that my first 3 choices were unavailable but the young lady who helped me was able to suggest something else. Not as good as what I wanted but it is what it is. While they didn't have my favorites, the service itself was great!!
