Killer store! Alex is always super helpful and knowledgeable. Always a really good menu and lowest prices.
Despite several years of frequenting this location on a regular basis (and having mostly excellent interactions), I am disappointed to report that I will NO LONGER be returning to this location so long as Chris is employed. He's never been particularly friendly, sometimes doesn't even acknowledge a customer and I've watched him have poor interactions with other customers while being in the store. But after refusing to sell to me, after HE was incredibly rude to BOTH my partner and myself (separately, I should add as he later stated he didn't "realize" we were together after I questioned him as to whether or not his actions were rooted in homophobia) I brought my concerns to the owner, Doug.
Never in all the years I've shopped here have I EVER been refused service. And never did I imagine it would be as a result of the employees attitude and ego. Doug assured me this would never be an issue moving forward again, as Chris has received multiple complaints from high profile or regular customers (as told to me by Doug himself). Unfortunately, despite this conversation, every encounter in this store while Chris has been on shift, both myself and my partner individually have been made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable all while NOT EVEN BEING SERVED BY HIM. Either ignoring, pretending to be busy or even just blankly staring and walking away to bring a different employee out to help. Blatant ignorance is not acceptable. First time in and had the best experience!! The employees are just so helpful and very friendly! They have the lowest prices in london!
